The system continuously moves cleaner, filtered air into the facility preventing the formation of a welding fume layer in the ceiling. Clean Air Stream is powered by a Clean Air Smart Collector that varies in size depending on the requirements. A plenum on top of the Smart Collector uses adjustable louvers to create a circular "stream of clean air. In the inlet side of the collector is an inlet plenum that "captures the dirty air.
To remove and extract the layer of particulate in a controlled direction, an extraction duct is designed according to your specific operation and facility layout. The extraction duct is provided with airflow grids. Proper design will allow for the most effective and controlled extraction of metalworking particulates in your factory.
The extraction duct is connected to a Clean Air Smart Collector designed for the correct air flow. As the particulate moves through the extraction duct, it is collected on the filter media which is periodically cleaned by an automatic pulse cleaning system. When the pressure across the filter reaches a certain point, the system begins to clean the filter, resulting in the particulate dropping into a collection container at the bottom of the filtration unit. The container can be easily emptied and the collected particulate should be disposed of according to Federal, State, and local regulations.
The (pulling), air filtration, and (pushing) process is generated by the fan inside the Clean Air Smart Collector and is specifically sized for the system. The solution can be controlled further using the Clean Air Smart Panel that through the Smart Drive (VFD) automatically controls the air flow, resulting in lower operating costs and better performance.
Once the particulates have been filtered, the filtered air can be recirculated. By recirculating the air, energy cost savings, specifically in climate-controlled environments, can be significant.
The recirculated air is also used in a controlled manner to dilute and push the layer of particulate towards the extraction duct. To effectively control the direction of recirculated air, a recirculated air duct with volume-regulated airflow grids is designed according to your specific operation and facility layout.
The Clean Air DFX Air Cleaner is used for light to medium duty applications for a variety of operations, such as welding, grinding, plasma cutting, etc. The systems are designed to create an air flow pattern to clean the air sufficiently the keep the plant from having a "haze" at the typical height of 14-18 feet. The systems simply take air in one end of the unit, filter the air through a variety of filters, then "push" the air back into the plant through adjustable louvers on the outlet side.
