Tuscaloosa Looking to Aerospace Industry
Next week Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox and officials from the city will travel to the Farnborough International Air Show. They want to build connections with aerospace and aviation companies in hopes of bringing new jobs and investment. In 1993, Tuscaloosa made international news when Mercedes picked it for their North American assembly plant. After many expansions, Mercedes employs over 4,000 and has a network of nearby suppliers. Now that Tuscaloosa has mastered the automotive industry they aim to tackle the aerospace industry.
