Clean Air America is seeking a motivated Accounting Manager to join our team!
The Accounting Manager will report to the CEO and CFO and be responsible for directing the daily operations for the Revenue-Receipts cycle, the Purchasing-Payables cycle, treasury, and month-end close. This role will partner with team members from other departments to drive continuous improvement across the Company.
This position is primarily focused on all aspects of financial accounting and underlying transactions.
Includes the following, other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for revenue & receipts cycle – Invoicing of clients (subscriptions & professional services), Payment applications, Collection activities – timely response to all accounting queries from customers, Monthly customer statements Responsible for revenue & receipts cycle – Invoicing of clients (subscriptions & professional services), Payment applications, Collection activities – timely response to all accounting queries from customers, Monthly customer statements
Responsible for purchasing & payables cycle, Coding vendor invoices, making payments within discount windows, Handling any vendor statements or calls
Responsible for treasury functions, Cash management and weekly cash forecast, Bank reconciliations monthly, Credit card entry and reconciliations monthly, Debt tracking and payments, Initiating wire requests
Responsible to assist with inventory and cost accounting, Ensure job costing, purchasing and build processes are correctly followed, Work with purchasing to ensure inventories are correct
Preliminary preparation of financial statements, 5-day accounting close, Substantial participation in month-end close, Accurate and timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, Preliminary financial reporting, Filing AR and AP invoices and payments, Monthly bank communications.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Minimum education requirement is a college or associate degree with four years of accounting in the coursework. Previous experience in manufacturing accounting positions is required. Previous experience with QuickBooks is required. HR experience a plus.
JOB SKILLS: Demonstrated understanding with the fundamentals of general accounting. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Analytical mindset with ability to question changes in data. Ability to self-organize and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and work accuracy. Effective analytical and reconciliation skills. Demonstrated high degree of accuracy in all work. Good interpersonal skills. QuickBooks expertise.
