McPherson High School Goes with Clean Air in quest to Upgrade
A district bond project for McPherson High School in McPherson, KS allowed them to utilize $1.8 million to construct a new facility to house their existing welding program. The idea behind this building was to create a facility that will be larger, more accessible, and more advanced than their current location. “The welding shop in the existing building was outdated with equipment, ventilation and size,” Anderson said, the director of buildings and grounds.
McPherson HS utilized nine (9) WeldStation LEAF dual welding booths to give them a total of 18 total welding stations. These state-of-the-art welding booths allowed them to achieve efficient air filtration with zero duct work needed. “The newer equipment and safer environment is an improvement for students and staff who work here,” Anderson said. “They’ll also be learning on equipment they’ll see in business instead of older, outdated equipment.”
Clean Air America is happy to provide a system to keep the students and teacher of McPherson High School safe from the harmful fumes produced during the welding process. We are proud to add McPherson High School to the list of 300+ welding labs using Clean Air America’s WeldingStation LEAF welding booths in their facility.
