Founded in 1992, Clean Air Industries (formally known as Clean Air America, Inc.) has provided a safe working environment for North American manufacturers for over 30 years. Our values are simple: do it right the first time, take care of our people, and protect our customers’ employees. Our culture is one of innovation but not at the expense of common sense. We develop the right product at the right price to serve companies both large and small.
Proud sons and daughters of Georgia, we treat our employees the same way we treat our customers. We do not compromise on our values of trust, respect, quality, honesty, and safety.
Clean Air America, Inc. was founded by Bertil and Antoinette Brahm and began operations in Western Kentucky.
Bertil and Antoinette immigrated to the US looking to follow their American dream. Bertil was born in Sweden and used his experience selling industrial air quality products to set up his operation on American soil.
Bertil was known for his direct communication style. When he wasn’t running around the plant making sure everything was running, he enjoyed relaxing with some homemade wings and beer.
A fan of photography, some of his pictures decorate the plant to this day.
Clean Air America quickly outgrew it’s operations and moved to Rome, GA where we began assembling in a small plant while our main plant was being built.
In 1998, after much anticipation, our current home was finally completed at 7 Superior Dr SE, in Rome, GA — 38,000 square feet and 35 employees. Suddenly with all the equipment available to cut, bend, weld, and powder coat, Clean Air America was able to meet their customers’ stringent delivery needs.
One of our premier products, the WeldStation™,was launched and has since become the industry standard for fume extraction in trade schools and welding labs.
WeldStations are now in hundreds of schools across the United States and Canada.
